Finite
I have seen a river flowing on,
Not stopping even at the dawn.
I have no chance to know its way
Except to surrender day by day
To the winding weave that time reveals
To the one who stops to rest his heels.
Now take no chance to spoil the fight
Even when frozen at dead of night.
Still there will yet be time to say,
"I have no desire here to stay."
For to live is Christ, and to die is gain,
So time has us no power to stain.
