[WEEK 271] Generous or selfish

Human nature is complex, I used to consider myself a generous person, I always thought about helping others to the extent of my possibilities of course, but that changed a few years ago because the day you stop doing it for any reason people get upset because they assume that you have to help them or it is an obligation, from then on I became the bad guy in the movie and it is not that I do not help but now I am more selective, it is something that I cannot avoid when I see a person in trouble and if I can help I do it.

My daughter always criticises this attitude of mine, I know she is partly right, lately I have become more selfish because people do not thank me, they are disloyal and it is not that you should be a slave to gratitude, but also not be so obvious that you are a profiteer that you use for your benefit and then you get rid of it or worse still talking about what it is not, this kind of people have made me a bit selfish, now I have analysed things and my daughter has become my conscience.

This situation has happened to me several times and I don't learn hahaha.... The most recent example happened to me with a coworker every time she had emergencies with her son I took her to the hospital, when she went to register for college she lacked money I gave her what she lacked, this week she told me to take her downtown because she wanted to buy some things, I said no because that day I did not fill the car with gas .... from then on she changed her attitude with me on one occasion she went to lunch with another coworker and closed the office.

I called her several times, she didn't answer the call... then I told her aaaa that's the way things are.... I am not obliged to take her, I am a taxi driver, I was generous while helping her, those kind of people make you change, you help her the first time, they thank you the second time they take advantage, the third time they think you are obliged, because of people like that I became more selective when it comes to generosity, this also applies to family with the blood ties story, they also abuse generosity and forgive me if I am a bit acidic hahahahaha.

Currently I am either generous or selfish depending on the person and the situation. I now seek a balance of prioritising my needs, but also being generous without being used.
