Does Every Action Have a Return Ticket?
When I was younger, I learnt this proverb in school which said what goes around, comes around. In that moment, I didn’t really understand what it meant, aside the fact that I could use it to gaslight my mates some times.
Now that I’m older, I’ve actually come to understand it better and on a deeper level. Everything is life goes around and no matter how big we think the world is, it’s a very small place. For every action of ours, there are consequences. If not to us, then to others. It’s more like a ripple effect, everything that happens or takes place on this earth has consequences.
For example, we didn’t just wake up to climate change. It was gradual, it took years and years of us humans polluting our environment even before we could realize it. Now that we have come to see what we have done, we are the same people trying to solve it. That’s life for you. But when we speak about Karma, I’d say the whole concept of Karma is subjective.
Karma can be viewed from two different point- spiritually and psychologically. We all know that with every bad decision you make, there’s a problem awaiting you. That’s just the normal thing we all know. But when you look at it on a larger scale, people make bad decisions and get away with it. Oh, I know you’d say all day for the thief one day for the master. But my dear, come closer.
Life doesn’t always work the way we think it does or the way we want it to. Good things happen to bad people and bad things happen to good people. Would you say that’s their karma cos that is more the like opposite of it. And what’s even funnier is when someone does something to you and you go on to say that this and that would happen to them and they would not go for in life and bla bla bla. Unless you’re a witch, there’s a high chance these people would even make it in life earlier than you.
I don’t entirely believe in Karma, but what I believe in is that fact that what goes around, comes around and not this whole concept of karma has been painted to look like.
