On Being Told To Go Vote

Today I felt like the stupidiotics of my country invaded my boundaries. This time of year during election cycle we get harassed. Not just by politicians pushing their agendas. But, also by our search engines and email hosting.

"Go Vote" being brazenly displayed by Google and Yahoo! mail is the source of this tirade. It probably seems normal to most people. And it is. And that's just the problem.

I feel like these corporations are taking a political stance, regardless of their users' interests. Not a political side, but a political stance. And while it's okay to encourage people to vote, it's certainly idiotic to encourage those who are clueless about the issues at hand to vote.

Seriously. Does everyone involved in politics, religion and fringe health trends feel the need to validate their beliefs so aggressively as to recruit any old loser into their camp?

Those of us with half a brain already know you're stupid as fuck. But do you have to be invasive, as well?

Fuck off with your nonsense already. If voting was actually a numbers game (which it isn't), then it would follow laws of proportion regardless of how many people vote. It doesn't matter how many opposing voters show up. And the more you get from one side, the more you'll get from the other. Voting is an illusion at best.

So, I guess those of you out there pushing it should feel somewhat insecure about your viewpoint on it, because it's fucking pathetic! However, please try to get it into your narcissistic brains that voting is not about numbers. It's about well informed voters. Which doesn't happen, because your funding only pays for getting voters, not educating them.
