Why Nigeria should be considered to Host Hive Fest.

Whatever it takes to host a #hive fest in various countries of the world, my country, Nigeria, has it. Both material and human resources. I bless God that the last Hive Fest in Kuala Lumpur was a success, and every keynote speaker did extremely well. This is another proof that the Hive blockchain is distinctive from every other blockchain technology.

Since I joined Hive and became active over two years ago, I have discovered from my little knowledge and information how successful Hive Fest has been over the years. That of last year was a huge success and @lordbutterfly was a huge instrumental as it was held in his country. I might be wrong to say that Hive Fest has never been hosted in Africa or any African country.

Having noted this, I am writing to the hive community to consider bringing the hive fest to Africa and as such, Nigeria should be the best for such an event. Looking at the entire hive ecosystem, I think the heaviest users of the blockchain are Nigerians, and probably followed by Ghanaians. So on this note, it will be an honour for us to host Hive Fest.

Permit me to say that the hive is thriving successfully in Nigeria and it's growing widely. Looking at the #hivenaija community and other communities from Nigerians, one will notice the amazing things that are going on there. Many people are embracing Hive, and it is gradually becoming a household name.

Some months ago, @obaro hosted a Hive music competition that was powered by the @vibes community. It was a massive success and all participants went home with a prize. This is one of the many achievements and events hosted in Nigeria.

I was having a discussion with a fellow some days ago, and we talked about the location where Hive Fest might likely be held if it ever happens in Nigeria. I told him that location is never a problem. Nigeria is well-developed with infrastructure. Our cities are well secured and strategically located; therefore, in terms of infrastructure, we have them. As much as enough to accommodate our visitors and guests.

This will also afford many people who have not visited Africa before, or probably Nigeria, to have a fair knowledge of the continent and the country as well. Africa is blessed, as is Nigeria. We have a rich cultural heritage and many tourist attractions.

If Hive Fest happens in Nigeria, many new people will be onboarded into the blockchain, and we, the old users, will be empowered the most.

Therefore, I want to urge the organisers of Hive Fest to consider hosting the next Hive Fest in Nigeria. Thanks.
