Hello, for the past few days I’ve been using an application that gives me drawing prompts depending on the day, and this way I can draw through a creative and extremely crazy idea. This makes the drawing go out of my comfort zone and allows me to experiment, while also creating every day. Drawing with a prompt and trying to follow an idea that is not ours is a very good challenge that I recommend to everyone. The drawings from the last two days shared the same theme: nebulas and galaxies were the protagonists. So, seeing so many stars taking over, I decided that this community is the best place to share them. I will be using Ibis Paint for my drawings as my drawing application. And since these are drawings I make in a short time, I will try to prioritize fun over techniques and styles. I hope you like them.

Hola, hace días que llevo utilizando una aplicación que me da prompts de dibujo dependiendo del día y así puedo dibujar a través de una idea creativa y sumamente loca. Esto hace que el dibujo salga de mi zona de confort y me permite experimentar, a la vez que creo todos los días. Dibujar con un prompt y tratando de seguir una idea que no es nuestra es un muy buen reto que les recomiendo a todos. Los dibujos de los dos últimos días compartían tema: nebulosas y galaxias eran los protagonistas. Así que, al ver tantas estrellas apoderándose, decidí que esta comunidad es la mejor para compartirlos. Estaré usando Ibis Paint en mis dibujos como aplicación para dibujar. Además, como son dibujos que hago en poco tiempo, trataré de priorizar la diversión antes que técnicas y estilos. Espero que les guste.

The first prompt for my drawing was:
An octopus chef baking galaxies in a solar oven with space utensils.

El primer prompt de mi dibujo fue:
Un pulpo chef horneando galaxias en un horno solar con utensilios espaciales.

I started with a sketch to capture all the elements of the prompt, from the utensils, which I decorated with rings and stars, to the octopus with its chef’s hat, and the oven. One of the buttons, the power button, has a sun shape, and inside, a large solar system is cooking with a hot star at its center.

Comencé con un boceto para plasmar todos los elementos del prompt, desde los utensilios, a los que les hice anillos y estrellas, el pulpo con su sombrero de chef, y el horno. Uno de los botones, el de encendido, tiene forma de sol, y dentro se cocina un gran sistema solar con una estrella caliente en el centro.

After having a sketch I was satisfied with, I started making the lines of my drawing to leave it ready for coloring.

Después de tener un boceto con el que me sentí satisfecho, comencé a hacer las líneas de mi dibujo para dejarlo listo para colorear.

I started coloring my drawing with the main star, the octopus, and little by little I gave color to its eight tentacles and suckers. I decided on this mix between purple and pink, I think it was a very good choice.

Comencé a colorear mi dibujo por la estrella principal, el pulpo, así poco a poco di color a sus ocho tentáculos y ventosas. Decidí esta mezcla entre morado y rosa, creo que fue muy buena elección.

It cannot be missed to color his chef hat, his cooking instruments, and to add some details with lights and shadows.

No puede faltar colorear su sombrero de chef, sus instrumentos de cocina, y dar algunos detalles con luces y sombras.

I had a lot of fun coloring the oven and adding the details, now only the background is missing and it will be finished.

Me divertí mucho coloreando el horno y haciéndole los detalles, ya solo falta hacer el fondo y listo.

The first prompt is now finished, I really liked the final result and I had a lot of fun drawing. But now let’s move on to the next day and the prompt is:
A cat astronaut painting a nebula with a brush made of comet.

Ya está el primer prompt listo, me gustó mucho el resultado final y me divertí mucho dibujando. Pero ahora vamos al siguiente día y el prompt es:
Un gato astronauta pintando una nebulosa con un pincel hecho de cometa.

This time we also started with the sketch, so that none of the prompt elements are left out, stars made of paint, our cat wearing its suit with cosmonaut helmet, and of course the brush where the bristles are the trail of the meteor. Now with all this sketch, and before making the final lines, I will work on a first idea for the background.

Esta vez también comenzamos por el boceto, para que no se nos quede nada del prompt, estrellas hechas de pintura, nuestro gato usando su traje con casco de cosmonauta, y por supuesto el pincel donde la brocha es la estela del meteorito. Ahora con todo este boceto, y antes de hacer las líneas finales, trabajaré en una primera idea de fondo.

I think this is a good starting point for the background, so we hide it for the moment, we keep the line art and start coloring.

Creo que esto es un buen punto de partida para el fondo, así que lo ocultamos por el momento, nos quedamos con el line art y comenzamos a colorear.

I will start with the kitten, its suit, and some stars, I will be creating with a multiply layer some shadows, and some reflections with a soft light layer at low opacity.

Comenzaré por el gatito, su traje, y algunas estrellas, estaré creando con una capa de multiplicar algunas sombras, y algunos reflejos con una capa de luz suave y baja opacidad.

We finished with the rest of the details, planets and stars.

Terminamos con el resto de los detalles, planetas y estrellas.

Now I will activate the background that I had removed all visibility from, and I will clone the whole drawing, which I will set to luminosity mode, because I want to give it an iridescent effect, almost like small sparkles throughout the drawing. This layer I will merge back with the rest, and I will change the blending mode from normal to hard light.

Ahora activar é el fondo al que le había quitado toda la visibilidad, y clonaré todo el dibujo, al que pondré en modo luminosidad, porque quiero darle un efecto de tornasol, casi como pequeños destellos por todo el dibujo. Esta capa volveré a acoplarla al resto, y cambiaré el modo de fusión de normal a luz intensa.

I enjoyed a lot following the prompt and drawing. In addition, I have already spent four days without stopping drawing, four consecutive days using this method, and I think I have had quite fruitful results. Now the million-dollar question, which one is your favorite? Mine is the octopus with its solar oven.
