After the character creation, it goes directly into the game without much frills. Part 1 players are well acquainted with the basic mechanics, while newcomers learn the basics of how to handle the guns and the importance of coverages. Shortly we are standing in front of the White House, the landmark of the United States. And wherever we look we see car wrecks, blast holes and burned-out buildings. In short: chaos as far as the eye can see.This erupted chaos has a history. In the recent past, a virus broke out that hit large parts of the population and claimed an enormous number of deaths. It was not long before any kind of social order broke down and the big cities fell into anarchic proportions. Law and order were instances of yesterday, since then violence and gangs rule the streets. The agents of the division are virtually the last unit that can guarantee the reconstruction of the cities - and we are a figure of the eponymous division.The story certainly does not take anybody off the sidelines, but it has to be said that it is consistently and sometimes excitingly continued. Not every secondary employment contributes to the tension, that should be clear. In contrast to the first part of The Division, Ubisoft has managed, however, that less insignificant missions come to fruition. It was the big amount of repetition that caused subtle frustration in part 1, but there are a lot more varied side quests here. Another thing unfortunately remained: Our alter ego remains also in The Division 2 speechless and emotionless. Why we did not give our character no speech, remains the secret of the programmer. In any case, it contributes to the fact that one always feels a degree of sterility of the character - too bad.
