Night-time visitor

Yesterday I got a visitor from the wilderness.
He was a little shy and eventually got frozen while I was taking pictrues with the flash light.

Hope he have a good psychologist to help him deal with post traumatic stress.

Did you know that hedgehogs are omnivorous?
They will eat insects, snails, frogs, fruits, or watermelon:)
This lovely creatures are nocturnal, so they sleep all day under bushes, rocks or most commonly in a dug in the ground.

When they are attacked by some predator, the natural defense is to roll into a tight ball so the spines (which are hairs made stiff with keratin) all pointing outward, make it almost impossible to bite them.

Hedgehogs are prey to various predators: owls, ferrets, foxes. According to Wikipedia until 2006 even McDonald's was one of the entities hedgehogs should have fear of:)

In 2006, McDonald's changed the design of their McFlurry containers to be more hedgehog-friendly. Previously, hedgehogs would get their heads stuck in the container as they tried to lick the remaining food from inside the cup. Then, being unable to get out, they would starve to death.

Let's hope for a nice future for this little buddy of mine;)

Thanks for reading and have a nice day guys!

I like philosophy, psychology, science, and our world as a whole. If I got anything right about any of those, that's another question:) Feel free to criticise!
