THE COUNTRY STILL DRIPS💔😔🩸
I couldn’t stop looking at this flag.
Green, white, green. But the red keeps dripping. And lately my mind keeps going to one thing: the news.
What the news keeps showing me:
- School children taken from classrooms. Bags left behind, parents waiting at gates.
- Farmersvwho can’t go to their farms in the North. Food prices climb because fear is expensive.
- Parents in Nigeria watching the news and hugging their kids tighter. “God forbid it’s my child.”
The flag is supposed to represent all of us. But when “the country’s children” are the ones in headlines, the colors feel heavy.
so I'm curious:
When you see our flag today, do you still see safety for our children?
What does “security” look like for you, for your family, for your street?
I’m not a politician. I’m just a sister in Lagos typing this with tears in my eyes. I believe we can talk about hard things without hate.
Share your thoughts below. Let’s listen to each other. The children deserve that much.
Note: This is my personal reflection on recent news reports about insecurity in Nigeria. I pray for peace and safety for every family.
