Why do I want you to hear this? Because at 25 years old, I have made many decisions that have shaped my life, some very important and others not so much, and each one has charted my destiny. Of course, you learn a little from every experience, but...

Today we are here, tomorrow who knows. And before you get discouraged, or think I'm being pessimistic, I want you to know that's not what I'm trying to say. What I want you to know is that today you have everything you need, you don't need anything else.

Today, I thank God for my good health, for having a roof over my head, for having my daily bread, for being able to study and work at the same time, for having my parents, my siblings, my partner, my nephew, and my son in good health and “doing their thing,” as we say here, hehehe.

I say this because every year we make resolutions, every year we have goals, and there's nothing wrong with that, but we forget the important things we already have. Before saying, “Well, this year I'm going to get rich, no matter what,” it's better to say, “Lord God, I thank you for my job that helps me put bread on the table. I hope this year I can prosper little by little if it is your will, and I pray for those who are unemployed, as I once was, that they may find a source of income for their families.”

You can't imagine how important it is to be grateful. Throughout my life, I've had five jobs and been to college three times to study different subjects. Rather than saying, “I'm not sure about anything,” I'd like to say that life takes many twists and turns, and before we give up, let's think: “Today, I have everything I need.”
