Today India celebrates 78th Independence Day. This day in India is celebrated like a festival by almost every household. Almost every society, school, institution has a flag hoisting ceremony. I could not attend the ceremony today morning which was held in my society since I was traveling back to Muscat and I had to leave at the same time. But I was there in spirits. My heart is Indian so no matter whatever the situation is it still feels connected to such events.

Today at the airport there is Independence day decorations and the whole airport looks vibrant with the tricolour every where. I did not get a chance to click many pictures, yet got a couple of them.

The best part on this Independence day has been about hoisting the flag for the first time at my new home. Just feels so proud doing that.

So today I am back to Muscat again and for the next 2 months I have no travel plans which also is a little relief for me. I am feeling exhausted with this back to back traveling since the past 4 months and now need a short break.

Today is also the Zoroastrian New Year and it's my religion. We have some celebration plans for the evening about which I will write in a day or two and a lot of stories pending to pen down from my this trip as well.
