Random Portrait.

Here is a random portrait I took at a festival but I never posted. I really prefer taking "random" portraits {hey can I take a picture of you} vs. setting up a shoot with a model. It's always fun to ask someone you just met for a picture. Of course you have to feel out if they will say yes; because its highly embarassing to me for some reason if someone says no. People rarely say no though because I try to be receptive to their character beforehand.

If you are hanging out with someone at a festival for a while they will usually say yes. Then it is up to you to take a good photograph.

This picture has a good zoom, composition and lighting. This is what is important: Even more than what you take a photograph of. I am proud of the way the "model" pops out of the backround. The zoom and lighting blend well together. Sometimes I risk extra light in a shot to get that extra crisp "no shadow" look. A few of the pictures on this roll came out too bright; but this came out as one of my favorite portraits i've taken. What do you think about high light photography?
