Ma La Tang - A Return to Jin's Haus
It has been a crazy but funny day. Fridays are my favorite as they are just more chilled and relaxed as we approach the weekend. It is like a housekeeping day for me to tidy everything up and get things in order to close out the week.
For lunch though, I had something special planned with a good friend of mine. The plan was postponed from yesterday til today, but that was good to fit in with the Friday vibe.
It has been over a year since we were last there and you may remember my blog post from that visit. However, today we finally made it there again this year. It is probably one of my top 3 restaurants around here and was looking forward to the visit.
It is only a small Lokal restaurant and looked quite quiet as we approached, but was rammed with the early birder goers like us already! Upon entering, we grabbed our bowls and waited for the queue to reduce before grabing our ingredients.
I went for an all veggie dish as I am not keen on fish and meat too much. I like lots of noodles and plenty of the different veggies. Things that can make a crunch are also good ones that I like to add.
I had quite a big bowl and choose garlic flavor. I added lots of extra coriander and dry mushrooms on top. I also like lots of noodles to slurp along with too! This dish didn't disappoint at all and I was really satisfied and the wait to visit again was well worth it.
We didn't get a receipt, so I couldn't photograph it for the competition, but I took a photo of myself instead and yes, I am looking rough after not sleeping well with my sleeping condition. The soup was so tasty and spicey at the end that it really cleared up my sinuses too! I think it cleared up a few peoples too judging by the sniffing going on in the restaurant.
Here I blacked out the lady sitting behind me to respect her privacy. She was dining Han Solo, probably couldn't resist the food too. I had the large bowl and it cost only around €13 or so with the drink, so pretty reasonable for a Gannet (someone who eats alot and fast) like me too.
You can see the huge fridge where you can select your ingredients from behind too. It was quite a cosy local and busy, so was trying not to look too conspicuous when photographing.
As you can see from my title picture, I was really enjoying the food and finished it no problem. The time flew by really fast and I am already thinking about when I might return. I hope it will not be another year of waiting!!
This is my entry into 's December Eating Out Challenge where you can enter here with a great chance to win some prizes!
Thanks for reading.
