Weekend craftwork at home

Hello everyone. I am a weekend lover so I think I am in the right place. ๐Ÿ™‚ I don't like to work a lot, but not because I am lazy but because I prefer to spend my time the way I want, and not the way I have to, and this is only possible on weekends.

I will share with you one of my past weekends that I did not spend in laziness. On the contrary. I worked and I enjoyed it. It was not easy at all. But it was the feeling when you work a lot and you like it because you eagerly wait to see the result of your work. When they ask you for 300 $ for making a small partition wall, then you buy the material and wait for the weekend to make it by yourself. You become your own master.

The apartment where I live has 45 m2. We divided the living room. We divided 25 m2 into two small rooms. One of 10 m2 and one of 15m2. If you want to be your own master, you need a certain tool. And at least one friend to help you. ๐Ÿ™‚ I am lucky to have a friend who also enjoys craftwork, and this time he helped me finish all the work over the weekend.

The following tools are required:
Meter, drill, screwdriver, sheet metal shears, paintbrush. The material needed is glue, gypsum boards, aluminum profiles, and finally, paint.

Friday late afternoon, after work

Installation of aluminum profiles. I had to decide where the door of the room will be and put two pillars there. In each corner of the wall, there was another pillar and then we assembled the pillars. When the construction was finished, fastened, we started to arrange the gypsum boards. It's easy, at least in the picture. We assembled until we filled the entire wall and fastened it with screws. We did the same on the other side of the wall.

Saturday

When the gypsum boards were lined up, we had to fill in the gaps with glue. When the glue dried, we covered the whole wall with thin glue so that the wall was completely flat. When the first layer dried, then we glued another layer. We did the same for the other side. When the wall was flat, dried, there was painting. Everyone chooses the color of the wall they like. I love white. I painted the entire wall with a brush on both sides. When the paint dried, after a few hours, I painted the whole wall again.

Sunday

Setting up closets. It's a relatively easy job because you just put shelves in the already cut boards and fasten them with screws. We did not install a closet door, we chose a more practical variant and a curtain instead of a door. When it was all over, the move to the new bedroom followed. It is a small bedroom but still a bedroom. My wife and I no longer sleep in the living room on an extra bed.

For the money that they wanted to charge me, 300 $, I bought all the material and the drill. It is good to be your own master. I saved a lot of money, the tool I bought was left for me for some next task. The effort paid off and the weekend was productive.

Thank you for reading.
