Optimism and Pessimism

A chook flying free

Crooning happily

She skims the sky

Miles excessive

Then dips below

Her beauty aglow

She's a thing to be obvious

A sight to behold

She's a factor to be heard

Her songs atmosphere hearts afloat

She's a factor to be loved

Her innocence attracting souls galore

Oh she's visible! Admired

She feels completely satisfied, flies turbo

indicates off her magnificence, sings a bit larger

Naive she imagines

She's being cherished, cherished,favored.

Innocently sits on the hand frivolously

Dancing to tunes in her head chirpily

Little does she struggle when

She's Trapped!

Caught!

Caged!

Now,

kept.......

In a golden cage,

fed everyday.

On a golden perch,

visible everyday.

Her wings now not cut off

For they are the matters to exhibit off.

Her tongue tied,

except when desires arise

to hear her beautiful songs.

She croons unluckily

And is met with eyes angry

Why are you unhappy?

If in case you have meals aplenty

Why are you morose?

When there is no worry of predators hungry

Why aren't you joyful?

When your residence is so golden fancy?

What an ungrateful chicken you might be

Crying when you will have to be so comfortable!!!!!!

She tries to answer

but is struck quiet with the aid of hands hard and phrases cruel

So she cries softly,

Quietly

Soundlessly

within the shadows of night.

Simply the silver moon as her witness

looking at her with empathy

And grieving at her plight.

So she lies there dreaming.

And smiling

And just dreaming

Of a last free, cheerful, hovering......Plunging flight

Into the remedy of darkness.
