Parakeet Fortune Telling

Walking back to the car after a heavy and delicious lunch, we were stopped in our tracks by the sight of an Indian fortune teller sitting on the sheltered walkway with a live green parakeet and some tarot-like cards. I had thought that it is deemed cruel to use parakeets in fortune telling and efforts made to crackdown on the business.

Anyway, the presence of a male patron piqued our inquisitive interest. He was either having a kick out of the fake fortune telling or indeed had something on his mind that needed clarification.

I guessed the patron wanted to know if he would ever find a life partner. People are mostly concerned about career and love. Right?

Have faith and everything will work out fine. The patron's fortune has been read and his mind set to rest. True to the prediction of the parakeet, the guy found his soulmate and finally went to City Hall a couple of months ago to get his marriage license. Congratulations!

How do I know? Why, it was all over Facebook! He couldn't contain his happiness and announced his nuptials to everyone!
