Cardano Takes First Place As Most Decentralized Network
Cardano (ADA) now holds first place for the most staked value. Having overtaken Polkadot (DOT) earlier this month, it should be no surprise that Cardano is the most decentralized network. A few key takeaways:
- Many of Cardano's features are yet to be fully released, resulting in many falling to notice this significant overtaking.
- Currently, there is over 21.75 billion ADA being staked on Cardano.
- ADA is sitting at more than 69% of the circulating supply being staked.
- Over 54% of all ADA Wallets are now staking.
- There has been an increase of more than 600 million added since the beginning of 2021 alone.
During this time, we have seen the amount of ADA per wallet decreasing. Although this can sound negative, it actually means that more individuals are becoming involved resulting in smaller wallet sums.
Along with the Mary hard fork planned for February, these pieces of information create a very bullish picture for Cardano. Currently sitting at around $0.34 at the time of writing, an impressive increase from its starting point of 2021 at $0.18.
