Blender is a solid tool. Features are easily on par with major commercial SW out there. Unlike major rivals, Blender was always a bit behind in user friendliness. Although, if I should be honest, many 3D tools are anything but user friendly. In any case, there is major change coming in new version of Blender 2.8. Especially when it comes to UI.
