My first attempt at making An Abaya Outfit, cutting, sewing and embellishment.

Abaya is a full-length outer outfit (outer dress) worn by women. They can be styled like a robe or embellished into lovely festive garments. During festive seasons, especially the Muslim celebration, the women love to wear the lovely floor-length decent dress style to mosques. Recently, everyone has been wearing Abaya outfits, both Muslims and Christians, and I have found them attractive too. I decided to make my very first Abaya outfits this time around to try out my creative skills in cutting, sewing, and embellishment.
I have been working with 
Yesterday, while we had some free time, I took my fabric to her shop for us to work on it and see how much we could make an Abaya outfit like I have seen some other tailors do.
The cutting of the dress was an easy one, and since I wanted something free, I used my discretion in cutting this similar dress I am wearing here.
A free-flowing A-shape cutting style with excess width at the hem.
Next was the stitching of the dress. With an additional sleeve
And next was the embellishment.I learned an embellishment style a few days ago when I tried it on one of my outfits here.
I told
First, we start by filling these boards with rhinestone, then transfer them to the dress using a hot iron and a transfer sheet.
Using the same board, we tried different directions of stone placement, and the outcome was beautiful.
With the bigger board here, we filled up some spaces in between the dresses, and the task is done.

My friend placed it on display for people to see if they would love it and if anyone else would be willing to make these kinds of outfits from us.
There are several other ways of cutting and sewing abaya, and having felt fulfilled doing this one, I will like to explore and learn more creative ways.
