Pine Cone Abstracts

Sometimes it's good to just pick a spot and see what is interesting around you. In this case it was the pine cones of the ground among the other fall foliage. I wanted to get some macro-style shots, so I was able to get pretty close up and had just enough light that I could catch the details of these pinecones where they lay. I was also able to switch my perspective and get some wider views with the macro lens, catching the sun as it was getting ready to set and also catching the glimmers of light gleaming off the ground foliage.
