Cedar Waxwing
I was on the way back after taking a long hike on a pathway that eventually led me into a forest. I walked for quite a while; I kept hearing birds along the way but wasn't really spotting much. On the return trip I took the scenic route, which was a back path that ended up being more rugged. I stopped near a clearing to rest and saw a few little birds flying around. As I spotted them, I knew right away I found some cedar waxwings, which definitely made my whole trip worth it. It was brief; there was a group flying to and from some branches, so I made sure I could catch some shots of them as they came out in the open. It's good to be ready for anything because sometimes your best encounter could be a brief one but rewarding nonetheless.
