Hello Steemians!!!

I must say it's good to do this after a long time. Going about my daily activities for today, a friend slid into dm to help review a poem after wards I was prompted to write few lines of this poem and somehow found myself writing to the end.

I do hope you enjoy it!.

_{Micro second, milli second, a second
Minutes, hours, days...
Weeks, months and years
Counting over and again
And the nights seem to be drawing nearer...}

_{Beats like a rolling drum
Everytime a picture or moment flashes back
A moment of guilt, pain yet joy
Pricks this pumping flesh of mine
"It was for the best"
Were the words that fluttered into my mind}

_{Discovery... The next step
Standards were lower to meet his expectations
Yet memories and moments were created
I traveled on feet to miles and distance
For your happiness was my deepest concern}

_{Now for every tear that drops
It becomes a light unto my path of discovery
That I wish you could journey with me on
Yet I fear your strong will might pull me back
So I would rather journey alone for now
Till I discover myself.}
