Introducing myself : My Steemit Vision and Pledge

Hey Steemians! When I started reading you a few days ago, I could hardly believe my eyes… There it was, a really engaged community having actual meaningful conversations instead of narcissistic displays, random ramblings or personal attacks like everywhere else in the combative realm of social media :)…

I was also touched by the support and encouragement that commenters offer writers, especially new ones with a lot of doubts and insecurities, but also hopes and ideas. It is an amazing mechanism to tap into people’s potential and make them really eager to show their best .

These are the reasons why I believe this platform can have a significant impact on future social interactions (aside from the obvious reward system) and that is why I also really wanted to be a part of it !

rux2.pngSo...this is it...
My name is Ruxi, I am from Romania, and both my daily work and lifelong interests are adult education, personal growth and skill development.
I am here to join the movement and also to contribute with my knowledge and skills !

This will be a place for me to share what I consider fascinating and important to understand about ourselves and how our minds work.

The insights may come from different sources, like psychology, brain sciences or even Buddhism, but hopefully will blend together nicely to form the missing picture of who is really in control of our actions and our lives.

Like my psychology teacher used to say: 'If we knew our minds half as well as our technology, we would be an enlightened, conflictless society '

Maybe we can use technology itself to grow and accelerate our knowledge about the mind :)
