Should i move from NVIDIA to AMD?

Right now, while i am writing this, it is actually hard to focus since the background of Busy.org is flickering like crazy. And i have this issue with other colors as well - further, an unsure amount of colors also is affected by stripes, which is quite annoying.
Well, luckily i don't have performance issues like i had with my Hackintosh attempt.

However, i don't remember with which driver version it worked fine (maybe a half year ago, everything was quite ok as far as i remember) - and in the nvidia forum no one replied...since i read that it sometimes also is specific to the graphicscard<->monitor combination, buying a different monitor is simply not in budget.

So since i don't like the idea of making Windows my dailydriver, i was considering selling my card on Ebay and getting some equivalent AMD card instead.

Should i do it? What do you think?
