New guy on the block

Hi guys am new to steemit.. Heard about it from my neighbor.. He seems really into it. What he told me about it seem so unreal and I'm still thinking maybe its a scam... Coz no good is done without a cost... Am really new to cryptocurrency and from the videos i watched him post i think it has to do with the stock market.. So that's really beyond my grasp.. Anyways I hope to find someone to help me out with that..
Note: i still don't know how to upload my profile picture and the rest.. Need help with that too.
