Vacation Advice From Mike Dynamo

Salutations for beautiful Sihanoukville, Cambodia. 

I was fortunate enough to get to travel down here and play Otres Market with my band, Hypnotic Fist Technique. It was great and a fantastic time was had by all. We got to ride up like sardines and everything. 

Then I was able to turn this into an amazing celebratory event with my partner as she just got an offer for a new gig. Sweet! We immediately shifted our traveling for my music into a vacation of sorts and it made me think of a few pieces of advice to share about doing the vacation thing! 

You can trust this face... Would I lie? 

#1 Don't Party Too Hard

Partying is effing rad. But you can end up ass out in a heart beat especially somewhere like Cambodia which is still relatively lawless. If you get too messed up, you could end up in a mess leaving nothing behind save your sexy heel and your last beer.

#2: Do whatever it is you want to do regardless of what anyone else is telling you.

Being the tourist friendly country that it is, Cambodia has taught me that doing the generic tourist stuff kinda sucks if you're not into it. Being led around to take the next temple at Angkor Wat or going to visit museums and palaces you don't care about can be unbelievably boring.

I prefer to be as boring as you want to be. Like sitting in coffee shops, sit in new coffee shops! Like playing video games? Check out various internet cafes or find the communities that play what you like. No point of trying to do all the things you've heard about if you don't get excited about them. 

Screw everybody else. Do what you like.
