Between sunlight and melancholy [EN/PT]
Sundays have become a little difficult for me to deal with. It seems like anxiety has chosen this specific day to become more intense. But it is funny because I have always felt a little melancholic on Sundays, usually when the sun is starting to set. I used to think it was because the week was beginning and everything was about to start all over again, but that is not it, because I have been enjoying my weekly routine a lot, while weekends have been feeling a little strange, really strange!
But today’s post was not meant to be about that. It was supposed to be about a Sunday with beautiful sunshine. While I was taking my son to the bus station, I decided to pass by an old train station that is right along the way. I really enjoy taking pictures of it. A train happened to be passing by at that exact moment, and this alternative path above the station is really cool, so it was a great opportunity to take even more pictures.
I do not know if my son had ever been there before, but he said that it feels like a kind of secret place because people usually pass underneath it without seeming to notice that it is even there, and what he said really makes sense.
Well, I said goodbye to my son while he looked at me through the bus window, and then I returned to my melancholic Sunday. Still, the end of the day turned out to be a little different after a friend invited me to watch his girlfriend’s theater play, which was happening at 8 p.m. That was why I did not write this post on Sunday, and it was only today that I remembered I wanted to talk about it and share these pictures.
