The Lord Jesus Christ showed a perfect way of how we could be acceptable before God. We must learn to follow the footsteps of our Savior and our Teacher, the Lord Jesus Christ. He laid out for us a perfect way of getting close to God. God is a good God. He has a loving and caring heart towards all of us. His ways are not difficult. He wants us to be saved. The kingdom which He has prepared for us is such that there shall no evil enter into it. We must be righteous to be able to enter into His kingdom. God has always wanted to have us back on His side. We have gone far from him right from the time our parents disobeyed Him and followed the instructions of the devil.

So when the Lord Jesus Christ accepted to be baptized, He was showing unto us that it is good for us to obey. Remember that the Bible says that He learnt obedience through the suffering He went through. Those things which He accepted to go through was for us to learn obedience from Him. If a sinless Jesus Christ could be baptized, why should any of us not accept to be baptized? We must understand that God really instructed that those who believe in Jesus Christ, His Son must go through baptism.
