Verification node is now on GitHub
The code of Verification node has been just released on GitHub: https://github.com/metahashorg/Node-Verificator
The new node accepts incoming connections from Peers only and maintains long-distance or cross-continental connections and direct connection to Core nodes. The main function of this role is to check the correctness of transactions and further distribution up to the core.
Verification node has sufficient processing capacity, so it can be used for synchronizing as the network’s communication layer for the Cores. By checking data accuracy and transaction’s economic feasibility, Verification node keeps the records of all processed transactions thus requiring computing resources.
The optimal hardware is Intel® Xeon® E3–1240, 8GB RAM, 1TB HHD/. Soft, Hard, and Seed Caps, as well as changes to the rewards distribution, will be revealed with the official role announcement.
