Simple Gyro Ball Demonstrates Seemingly Ordered Complexity from Random Chaos
This is another great video by the famous Action Lab YouTube channel. A ball with a simple rotor (rotating motor) inside of it has the amazing ability to (eventually) solve any maze! This simple ball, called the "squiggle ball", just rolls in random motion but when given enough time the random motion can eventually make its way through puzzles and around obstacles. It gives the illusion of conscious awareness even though it is just random rotation! This is some pretty amazing (and philosophical) stuff!
