A decision worrh it.

After years of toiling as an employee under several employers who were only willing to give peanuts in exchange for my tireless and effective service, uncle Sam's capital fund into my account felt like a big miracle.

I remember it easily like the back of my palm. That fateful day when he had called me and my voice was not palatable to his ears. To drive the nail home, I was complaining of being broke when the new month was only just twelve days along.

It was saddening to him because he knew the economy was not smiling. I'm certain he must have been rummaging his mind thinking of how I have been managing myself and that was when the idea for me to be my own boss was birrhed.

Ten minutes after the call ended, a credit alert notification came into my phone from him. He never said what the money was for but our earlier conversation had already set a fire burning in my heart.

The credit alert for the sum of fifty thousand naira felt big and small at the same time. I felt it was big because it was enough for my upkeep for that month before my next pay check. On the other hand, I felt it was small in view of a prospective business but I didn't lose hope.

I made some inquiry from close friends and even online. Before long, I settled for a flexible and manageable business which suited me well. The surprising fact was that I only used forty thousand naira to start the business.

Not only did I start up a business of my own, I also had some funds left to help me through the month. I started a money business popularly called Point Of Sales business in my city. It involves helping customers to make money transactions for a little fee, saving them the stress of bank stress.

This is very important because my area of residence is very far from where commercial banks are situated. This makes many residents frustrated whenever they want to make certain financial transactions but because of me and others in the same line of business, these frustrations are now a thing if the past.

Looking back now, I admit that it was the best financial decision I made at that time. I could have chosen to use the money my uncle sent me to meet my needs but I chose to start up a financial business which has been making steady profits over the years.

I'm very grateful for that start up funds because now I am my own boss no longer at the mercy of employers.
