Winter birds
These are a few of the common birds that I see at my feeders during the winter.
Downy Woodpecker
They are the smallest Woodpeckers in North America and are frequent visitors at my suet feeder.
Dark-eyed Junco
They are among the most abundant forest birds in North America. I always know that the winter weather up north must be getting brutal when big numbers of Juncos appear at my seed feeders
American Goldfinch
They are wearing their muted winter colors and love the nyjer thistle seed feeder. They arrive in large flocks to feed there all winter.
Tufted Titmouse
They are common forest birds and come to my feeder to eat sunflower seeds and will eat suet as well.
