Just this year, the Barbie Movie took off, filling the seats in every cinema. A movie that introduces a diverse type of barbie, breaking the stereotypes and prejudice against women. A testament that women can do more beyond the limits that people have set to them–highlighting feminism.

“What is the one lesson or knowledge you learned this year that benefitted you as a lady?”

The movie became a reflection of the ongoing battle for gender equality, going beyond what we usually notice. It reminded us that the privileges we have today aren't just random—they're the result of hard-fought victories by women who challenged societal norms throughout history.

The Barbie Movie, with its vibrant cast and empowering storyline, became a catalyst for realization. It whispered that our struggle for equality is a torch passed down through generations, each flame contributing to the collective illumination of progress. It encouraged me, as a lady navigating the complexities of modern society, to recognize the battles fought by the ladies of yesteryears and to appreciate the ground gained in the relentless pursuit of equality.

Just like Barbie, who embodies grace, resilience, and limitless potential, the movie really struck a chord with me. It reminded me that, as women, we can go beyond what society expects, be true to ourselves, and keep challenging the limits placed on us. After watching the film, I feel inspired to be a living example—a woman breaking through societal expectations. And just like her, we should also transcend this societal norms because we ourselves are Barbie.
