New upgraded Instagram feature

Instagram has finally listened to its users and has now proceeded to roll out the use of a mute button.

For a long time, users have had to choose between opting to unfollow other users or continue following them even though they would rather not see their posts.

How to use the new mute function

You tap the little three buttons in the top left corner of a post and select “Mute.” You can then choose to just mute the user’s posts or both their posts and stories. It’s that easy.

Now when you mute someone you’ll still be able to see DMs from them, look at their posts when you go to their profile page, and get a notification if they tag you in anything.
The only difference is that they will no longer appear in your feed. Nice one guys!
