Beauty is everywhere.

There are a few days when ordinary instances of life turn into beautiful memories. Today was one of those days for me. A day out of the house with family fills one’s heart with warmth, and when my smartphone was able to capture it all, it added an element of magic. I have always seen beauty in the small things around us, and capturing them all in time, even with just my phone, was a great experience.

One of the best moments of the day was having drinks at the table. The sun was shining through the glass, and the sparkling colors were starting to swirl right before me. It was like they were calling my phone to raise and capture the warmth from the glow. I could not find another reason in me not to keep snapping, and what I ended up with was a practice of an art form that I still marvel at its beauty.

From where we were sitting, it was a warm elegance in the space, and my phone lens was cashing in on the whole experience, from the movement of light in the room as it transformed, to the reflection on the glass. I was laughing and joking around with family. These were not just some pictures. It turned into a collection of art and a reminder that beauty can be found everywhere, and we can take advantage of it when we can.

Once we were outside, it seemed like I was finding just more to click on. The day was vivid, and the environment set a lively vibe through my phone lens. I am not sure if it had to do with the environment around us, or if the element for consideration was the natural dance of light and dark shadows, or the composed backdrop that also had a natural flow about it. But each snap had a story of feelings I would want a hundred times to remember.

I was once again reminded that I am lucky to have the gift of technology that allows me to capture the moments in life that we really want to be able to remember. My smartphone offered up more than just photographs that day. It offered the joy of seeing ordinary places and things in a different context. I wanted to share some of those captures with you, my readers, because sometimes one picture is a thousand words, and I hope you enjoy them just a fraction of how much I enjoy them.
