Red Chicken: My Own Version

Hello food lovers. 🫰🏻🥰🫰🏻

‎Today I want to share a dish I made that I decided to call "Red Chicken".

‎It has this nice bright red color from the ketchup and hot dogs I used, so I thought the name fits it perfectly.

‎So come join me as I show you how I cooked my own version. 🥘✨🥘

Ingredients:

‎•1/2 kg chicken
‎• 2 jumbo red hot dogs
‎• 1 cup tomato ketchup
‎• 4 cloves garlic
‎• 1 medium red onion
‎• 1 medium tomato
‎• 1/2 chicken broth cube
‎• 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
‎• 1/2 teaspoon salt
‎• 1 teaspoon sugar
‎• 2 tablespoons cooking oil
‎• 1/2 cup water

Let's cook!

‎First, I got my pan ready and put just a little oil in it. Then I added the sliced hot dogs and cooked them for about 2 minutes until they turned slightly brown and plump. Once done, I took them out and set them aside in a bowl for later.

‎In the same pan, I left the remaining oil. Then I tossed in the garlic, onion, and tomatoes. I sautéed them until they got soft and released their aroma.

‎Next, I placed the chicken pieces and cooked them until they turned light brown.

‎Then I poured in the tomato ketchup, added the sugar, chicken broth cube, black pepper, salt, and water. I stirred everything well so all the ingredients were mixed.

‎I covered the pan and let it simmer on low heat for about 15 minutes. Then, every few minutes, I gave it a stir so the sauce wouldn’t stick or burn at the bottom.

‎After 15 minutes, I added back the cooked hot dogs. I let it cook a little longer until the sauce thickened up.

‎And that’s it. My Red Chicken is ready to serve! 😋

‎It looks so appetizing, and the taste is just right. It's sweet, savory, and full of flavor. Perfect with warm rice.

‎Until my next dish...

Thanks for the visit! Have a lovely day. Buh-bye. 💗🌸
