I’m the most forgiving,
I forget it all too soon
When strangers accuse me of murder,
When friends find me a bit much
When lovers leave me in pieces
I’m the most forgiving
I understand it all too well
When humans do what humans do best
When people act like people should
Self righteous, self centered and selfish
I’m the most forgiving
Most understanding
Most empathetic
Until I have to forgive me
My most trivial accusations
are escalated,
Blown out of proportion
to fit the narrative of a monster
Everyone else deserves
my forgiveness but me.
