The Head-Banging Snake

It has been said...
That the Chinese Head-Banging Snake
Can predict the Earth Quake
.
This has been seen to occur
When the Snake moves from the Ground to the Surface
And proceeds to bang its Head against the Wall
.
As comical as this could seem...
This represents the Snake's desperate attempt to escape the Danger
.
Naturally, Man has utilized Wise Observation to track this behavior
And warn of Earthquakes in advance
.
Does the Snake know it is serving this Purpose?

Likely, it is following mere Intuition
.
But it serves Dao
And creates a Higher Order in so doing
.
One mustn't need to know One's Purpose...
In order to serve well
And be of Value to Dao
