We traveled from Chennai to Karnataka's Virupaksha Temple by train for several hours. so nice and happy to visit this temple.
We are connecting with a local guy, and he explained about the greatnes of the temple.
This temple's triangular-shaped architecture was amazing.
The height of the temple is nearly 200 to 300 meters, I think

One of the most interesting features of the Virupaksha temple is the use of mathematical concepts in its construction and decoration. The repeated patterns in the construction depict the concept of fractals. The temple is triangular in shape.
Temple festivals and it's special
The temple continues to prosper and attracts huge crowds for the betrothal and marriage festivities of Virupaksha and Pampa in December.
Lakshmi, the temple elephant of Virupaksha Temple
The elephant named Lakshmi was donated by an industrialist to the temple in 1995 and had become popular among the devotees. The elephant was enormous; it was the first time I had seen such a large elephant. And Lakshmi was blessed for every rule who can give 10 or above; those only get blessings from him; otherwise, simple, constant Lakshmi has no reaction.
Who built the temple
The temple was built by Lakkan Dandesha, a nayaka under the ruler Deva Raya II of the Vijayanagara Empire.
