The American crypto exchange Kraken ceases its work in Japan. The reason for this decision was the growth of costs for doing business in this region.

Kraken plans to roll back all operations in Japan by the end of June. At the same time, the company does not rule out a possible return to this market in the future.

"Suspending services for the people of Japan will allow us to focus more on our resources and improve our work in other regions. This is a local solution that will only affect the people of Japan and will not affect Japanese citizens and companies that are outside the country, "the exchange said in a statement.

According to CoinMarketCap, today Kraken ranks 10th in the world in terms of daily trading volume.
