Digital Illustration: Sunday | Eng/Esp

Hello Hivers~

Finally, I could finish this drawing! I'm very happy for that because I had many troubles hehe, the first version (the file) almost finished for some reason decided to suddenly disappear aaand I had to started all the drawing again T.T. Well, the life is like that, let's see the process~.

This illustration is dedicated to @maridmc who gave me permission to use her photo, I really needed a beach landscape for practicing ^^. And for waiting patiently for this drawing, thanks!

Step by step

This was the last capture of the first version that I lost, but it had a lot of more details.

I spent some days making the first one so when I lost the file I felt really sad, like without energy?, so it took some time to start again but I really like the original photo, very inspiring and I could continue.

The first part was locate the elements, sky and the land with the sea, I drew this part making long strokes with colors and then I started with small spots to detail the waves and sea. This style is inspired in the impressionism like my other landscapes but more realistic.

Then I drew the sky, looking something realistic but you can see the brushstrokes, in fact you can see many differences with the original.

When I saw background was good enough I started with the person, just colored spots and then with smaller brush sizes to go detailing.

Drawing the beach sand took me many attempts with the textures of the brushes, it was the texture most difficult for me in this illustration, especially in the shadow of the palm tree.

And this is the result. It took me more than a week, including the time I spent making version 1 which I lost. I kept some areas without much detail and where you can see more rustic brushstrokes to give a clear effect that it is an illustration and not a photo, many times I had to stop adding so many details, sometimes one becomes a bit obsessive hahaha. I think It finished more realistic than I expected but I'm really happy with this one!

¡Por fin pude terminar este dibujo! Estoy muy feliz por eso porque tuve muchos problemas jeje, la primera versión (el archivo) casi terminado por alguna razón decidió desaparecer repentinamente y tuve que comenzar todo el dibujo de nuevo T.T. Bueno, la vida es así, veamos el proceso~.

Esta ilustración está dedicada a @maridmc quien me dio permiso para usar su foto, realmente necesitaba un paisaje de playa para practicar ^^. Y por esperar pacientemente este dibujo, ¡gracias!

Paso a paso

Esta fue la última captura de la primera versión que perdí, pero tenía muchos más detalles.

Pasé algunos días haciendo la primera, así que cuando perdí el archivo me sentí muy triste, ¿como sin energía?, así que me tomó un tiempo comenzar de nuevo, pero me gusta mucho la foto original, muy inspiradora así que pude continuar.

La primera parte fue ubicar los elementos, el cielo y la tierra con el mar, esta parte la dibujé haciendo trazos largos con colores y luego comencé con pequeñas manchas para detallar las olas y el mar. Este estilo está inspirado en el impresionismo como mis otros paisajes pero más realista.

Luego dibujé el cielo, pareciendo algo realista pero se pueden ver las pinceladas, de hecho se pueden ver muchas diferencias con el original.

Cuando vi que el fondo era lo suficientemente bueno, comencé con la persona, solo manchas de color y luego con tamaños de pincel más pequeños para ir detallando.

Dibujar la arena de la playa me llevó muchos intentos con las texturas de los pinceles, fue la textura que más me costó en esta ilustración, sobre todo en la sombra de la palmera.

Y este es el resultado. Me tomó más de una semana, incluido el tiempo que pasé haciendo la versión 1 que perdí. Mantuve algunas zonas sin mucho detalle y donde se pueden ver pinceladas más rústicas para dar un efecto claro de que es una ilustración y no una foto, muchas veces tuve que dejar de agregar tantos detalles, a veces uno se vuelve un poco obsesivo jajaja. Creo que terminó más realista de lo que esperaba, ¡pero estoy muy feliz con este!
