[ESP-ENG]Te cuento como realicé uno de los proyectos de mi Vision Board edicion Hogar 2025/Let me tell you how I carried out one of the projects from my Home 2025 Vision Board.

Hello, friends at Homesolutions! I hope you are all well. Today I bring you a project that is part of this community's initiative: “Vision Board 2025, Home Edition.” It is a piece of furniture made from materials that were going to be thrown away. To be honest, I thought I wouldn't have enough materials and that I would have to spend a lot of money, but the result was better than I expected.
Among this year's projects, I had this type of furniture, which is quite trendy in interior and exterior decoration. I had recycled materials stored away, such as an iron box that my aunt was going to give away, some wooden handrails that were from the stairs in my aunt's house, some wooden slats, and iron pipes left over from the structure of a roof we built in my backyard. So, I called our friend the blacksmith, and we got to work.
The first thing we did was remove the legs from the piece of furniture. They were screw-on legs and were quite easy to remove. We took them to our friend the blacksmith to make a metal structure with tubes to support the square box that would serve as the base for our piece of furniture.
Once the wooden handrails had been sanded and varnished, they were cut to fit the structure, and my friend helped me attach them to the iron frame of the piece of furniture. We did the same with the wooden slats used for the backrest, and by then it was really starting to take shape.
For the seats, I had some cushions that were from a piece of furniture that I had already upholstered and used in other projects. So I bought some faux leather and used an upholstery stapler to cover them in white. I added some cushions to match the colors of other armchairs I have in my living room, and this was the result.
My aunt was impressed with how, with the help of our friend the blacksmith and the materials she was going to throw away, we managed to make this beautiful piece of furniture.
Friends, as I always say, by recycling materials we reduce our waste and are kinder to the planet we live on. Let's try to create something totally different by reusing materials. Let's not underestimate our creativity and our ability to bring to life those projects that spring to mind or that we see in a magazine.
I look forward to reading your comments if you decide to take on this project or if you have any ideas for making furniture out of recycled materials.
