Urgh... Roadkill

So... traveling home from work was somewhat of an experience today. I set off like every other day, around twilight so it was starting to get a bit dim so I popped my lights on. It was still quite bright and visibility was good. Now I work in the country so there is plenty of wildlife, I’m sure you can see where this is going... from the edge of the road I saw a bird. A pheasant, about 30 feet ahead of me. I was sure he would turn face and run back into the foliage of which he emerged, not no. The bloody idiot waits until I’m about 10 feet away, going 40mph, and struts put into the road bold as brass. I couldn’t stop. I couldn’t swerve. I’m guessing he had a shitty Valentine’s Day and decided there was no point going on. He went right under my wheel and bounced across the under carriage of my Kia. I hope he didn’t suffer and he certainly ruined my otherwise good day. Im sorry if this upsets or offends but I felt I needed to offload my misfortune.
