My Advice to my TV remote

Greetings everyone!
I’m really glad to participate in this week’s Midnight Owl prompt.

There was a day when I came back from work, ready to relax and watch the Premier League. I searched everywhere for my TV remote so I could change the channel, but it was nowhere to be found. That was the moment I truly understood how important my TV remote is.

If I could give my TV remote some advice, I would tell it that it is a valued part of our family. Ever since it went missing, we haven’t been able to watch many of our favorite shows. I even made a promise to myself that whenever I finally find it, I will take better care of it.

I would also remind it of the crucial role it plays in our home. Without the remote, we can’t switch channels easily, especially at midnight when the house is quiet and we all want some entertainment. It’s the little device that keeps our nights lively.

I want the remote to know that it has full access to our home and that whenever it returns, I will make sure it feels appreciated. Its absence has truly affected us with no TV shows to enjoy, so many programs missed, and even my children can’t watch their cartoons anymore. They keep asking for the remote as if it’s a missing family member.

Since the remote got lost, everyone has been bored. Some of the kids barely eat, and even my wife is not pleased. But my message to the remote is this: wherever you are hiding, know that we care about you. When you come back, we promise never to mistreat you again.
