Karma
Greetings everyone, I'm glad to participate in this Sci-fi weekly prompt “Karma.”
I really do believe in what they call karma, because what you sow is what you reap. Even the Bible also confirms the law of karma. The Bible says if you do good, keep doing it because one day will come that you will reap every good that you have done, and it also says if it's bad you know how to do it, because one day will come that you will also reap the bad you're doing.
I remember some years back, when I and my friend joined business together. The reason we're doing this is because we trust ourselves very well, and our business is moving gradually and we’re happy for that. During that time, I got some issues with my health and I didn't have energy to run the business with him. One day, I sat him down and told him that I have health issues and I want to go to the hospital to treat myself. I told him that he would be the one running the business for the meantime, and he said no problem. I also told him that he should make use of the money we have in our joint account very well.
After some months, I got healed and went back to the workplace. When I reached there, I noticed that everything had turned upside down — the business wasn’t moving again. I asked him why it wasn’t moving like before, and he replied that he tried his best. He told me that he’s not interested in the business again that we should depart. I was speechless that day because I wasn’t happy. I asked about the money that was in our joint account, and he replied that everything had gone.
To cut the story short, we departed and everyone went his own way. But after some years that we had departed, my friend came back to me and started begging that I should forgive him. I told him that he didn’t offend me, and he said he did. I asked him what he did, and he said that all the money we earned from the business we joined together — he’s the one who looted everything when I got sick. He said that where he kept the money caught fire. I asked him, “In the bank or where?” and he said he kept it inside his house. He told me he knows that it’s the law of karma — that what he sowed, he now reaped. That’s why I believe karma exists.
