PREFACE

Hey steemians!!! This is marose (Mary Rose Beltran) SIGNING ON. Let’s take a quick tour on my twenty six years of existence.

I am a Filipina. I’m currently engaged in a PUBLIC SERVICE and a VOLUNTEER in the FILIPINO SIGN LANGUAGE COMMUNITY

But before being a public servant, I worked as a call center agent in some BPO companies. Customer service was my avenue,regardless of how irate the customer was, I should keep going with a smile. I was nocturnal back then, sleepless nights… missing sunshine. And so I became exhausted because of that unhealthy career. I was hired in the LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNIT where I am doing some paper works, documentation etc. So what am I doing in Steemit? I heard about it from my fellow volunteers, and I was amazed on how it works. My life is an OPEN BOOK and I want it to share with you Steemians.

Let me show you how my HAND CAN SPEAK.

I had a realization 7 years ago that genuine happiness came from giving than in receiving. Persons with disability specially deaf and mute always came to my path and I pity them. I was curious on how to live with silence. I learned to LOVE THE DEAF and their LANGUAGE. Ooppss.. its not that easy. Learning a new language require a lot of efforts and patience. Sometimes I feel downhearted when I can’t express myself in a way that they understand. But through faith to my Creator and help of my friends both hearing able and deaf mute, I successfully cope with it. And I belong to the sign language community. It was such a joy to help them.

Who is marose? Mary Rose? Maria Rosa? Mary? Rose? Rosa? MB(sign name for deaf mute)? Those were the names that people call me. I actually don’t care on how they call me, as long as they knew who I was. Dancing is my forte. I am an extrovert. As much as possible I avoid solitude. It’s easy for me to laugh at corniest jokes, none sense stories. I love chatting with family and friends, knowing their whereabouts and anything under the sun. I am such a frustrated singer. You can never have it all. Hahaha Adventures and travelling are my favorite hang out. I will be sharing most of my adventures here soon.
