Intenté leer La guerra y la paz… y me dejó en evidencia / I tried to read War and Peace… and it exposed me [Eng/Spa]
“Tal vez vuelva a terminarlo.
“I didn’t quit War and Peace because it was long…
I quit because it was too real.”
At first, I blamed the pages.
The names.
The endless details.
But the truth?
I saw myself in it—and I didn’t like it.
• Pierre’s confusion? That’s me when I don’t know what I’m doing with my life.
• Andrei’s emptiness? That quiet feeling after achieving something that should make you happy… but doesn’t.
• Natasha’s mistakes? Acting from emotion and paying the price later.
Leo Tolstoy wasn’t writing about Russia.
He was writing about us.
We think life is about big moments…
But it’s really shaped by invisible choices we barely notice.
Maybe the reason this book feels “heavy”…
is because it forces you to look at things you usually avoid.
“Be honest… did you ever abandon a book because it hit too close to home?”
“I might go back and finish it.
Not because it’s a classic—
but because it understood me before I understood myself.”
