The competition was to write a blog post to promote another Steemian and certain criteria had to be fulfilled

The most important was the quality of the post as this is what Steemit is all about and without quality it would be nothing more than a chat show.

Without quality, new members may be put off joining

Now what I would definitely suggest is that you set up an auto vote on the steemvoter website to automatically vote on @steembasicincome posts. They don’t always write a post each day so it’s also a good idea to visit their blog and vote on some of their comments too.

The reason I say this is because if you give them at least 28 upvotes per month then the upvotes they give you on each of your posts will be bigger!
