HIVE OPEN MIC WEEK #320 - BAD DAY BY DANIEL POWTER - MARIFLAUTACUBANA

Hello friends, I'm Mariflautacubana and I'm here, as always, to participate in this wonderful musical competition, Hive Open Mic. I really liked this week's theme, and as soon as I read it, I chose the perfect song, since it has the same name, and I'm sure many of you will remember it as the opening song of the first part of the famous animated movie Alvin and the Chipmunks. It's "Bad Day" by the Canadian artist Daniel Powter.

Musically, this pop ballad begins with a distinctive piano that drives the melody, combined with heartfelt and bittersweet lyrics to create a sense of empathy and understanding. I decided to alter this melody in my voice with the flute, to make it a little more emotive, and to reach everyone who sees me in this community.

Have you ever had a bad day? Of course, we've all had bad days or bad days at some point in our lives, or gone through some tough times. But despite that, we must always understand that every day is a new opportunity to start over. This is the message this song conveys, with a sense of comfort and the possibility of overcoming adversity. And it has become an anthem precisely for those moments when everything seems to be going wrong.

With this catchy and ironic chorus from Bad Day, which describes trying to reverse a bad streak by singing a sad song, forcing a smile, and trying to keep going, I'll leave you with it, and I hope you enjoy it!!!

Hola amigos, yo soy Mariflautacubana y estoy aquí como cada semana para participar en este hermoso certámen musical que es el Hive Open Mic. El tema de esta semana me gustó mucho, y en seguida que lo leí escogí la canción ideal, pues lleva el mismo nombre, y de seguro muchos la recordarán, por ser la canción con la que comienza la primera parte de la famosa película animada Alvin y las ardillas. Se trata de "Bad Day" del canadiense Daniel Powter.

Musicalmente, esta balada pop comienza con un piano distintivo que conduce la melodía, combinada con una letra sincera y agridulce para crear una sensación de empatía y comprensión. Yo, decidí altercar esta melodía en mi voz con la flauta, para hacerla un poco más emotiva, y llegue a cada uno de los que me ven en esta comunidad.

¿Han tenido alguna vez un mal día? Pues claro, todos hemos tenido, en algún momento de nuestras vidas un mal día o malos días, o hemos pasado por malos ratos. Pero a pesar de ello, debemos entender siempre que cada día hay una nueva oportunidad para empezar de nuevo. Este es el mensaje que nos transmite esta canción, con un sentido de consuelo y la posibilidad de superación. Y precisamente se convirtió en un himno para esos momentos en los que todo parece ir mal.
Con este coro de Bad Day, pegajoso e irónico, que describe cómo se intenta invertir la mala racha cantando una canción triste, forzando una sonrisa y tratando de seguir adelante, los dejo, y espero la disfruten!!!
