THE PANORAMA VIEW: BREAKTAKING BADIAN HEIGHTS

Hello, there! It's me again. I'd like to share our Badian Highland hiking last month which is so fun adventure. I could say it's worthwhile.

The perfect location for a picnic with friends and family.

We were really excited on the set up day, so we woke up not too early, about 7 a.m., and began packing our belongings, taking a bath, and eating breakfast. We leave at 9 a.m. since we have to wait for some of our friends.

We didn't leave too early because we live in Southern Cebu, and the highlands we planned to visit were just in Southwestern Cebu.

We stopped for lunch on the street around 11:30 a.m. because it was almost lunchtime.

The trip took about 3 to 4 hours, and we arrived between 1 and 2 p.m. It was enough because the ideal period to visit the highland spot which had an amazing view, was between 3 and 4 p.m.

When we arrived at the place, we walked for approximately 500m to 1 kilometer towards the mountain's steep, wide, and flat surface because we couldn't move the car close enough to see the complete view.

Then when we got at the site, the sun was still extremely high. So we just look for somewhere to relax and watch the sun go down.

We were like out of breath while walking to the place, but our whole family was so surprised by what we saw that the pain in our feet and thirst like disappeared.

When the sun was no longer so high, the view got more obvious and we began snapping pictures and videos.

We ate and drink our snacks that we packed and chill for a long while and feel the moment in the place. It was so solemn and peaceful that you could imagine living there alone, away from the city's loud neighborhoods.

We decided to head soon after and did not wait for sunset because we might not be able to see the way back well in the dark. Then we headed down the mountain and walked down, and just like before, we feeling out of breath again.

Around 4:30 p.m., we began gently down the mountain, which was terrifying because the road here is highly steep and twisting.

I didn't know I was already nervous that time, so I cradled my husband's hand too tightly and closed my eyes. Because certain parts of the road have not yet been completed and the widening process is still proceeding.

Badian Highland is one of a tourist spot in the southwestern part of Cebu which is also near the other tourist spot in Badian that is also famous called Kawasan falls and Canyoonering activites.
